first_imgActinobacterium strain S63T isolated from a soil samplecollected from Spindrift Col on Signy Island(South Orkney Islands, maritime Antarctic) is a newspecies of the Intrasporangiaceae family. Here wereport a draft genome sequence with an approximatesize of 5 Mbp contained in 54 contigs (69.33% GCcontent). Preliminary analysis revealed the presenceof cold active protein coding sequences, which mayindicate an adaptation to the harsh polar environmentfrom which the strain was isolated.last_img
